Easter BMX Treats - Bank Holiday Four Videos Friday Special
Because of some technical issues last Friday I didn't manage to get my FVF posted up in time so i'm changing the name to something not half as snazzy but basically serves the same purpose. I hope you've had a good Easter holiday, it's been a good couple of days to relax, eat chocolate, catch up with the family and slowly come to the realisation that it's all back to normal tomorrow... However before we have to get back to the daily grind here are some videos from the past week that have caught my eye: If you're into your BMX you would have no doubt heard about the Simple Sessions in Estonia. They've happened every year for the past few years and each time they keep getting bigger and better and the riders from all over the world keep dropping bigger and bigger hammers. Check out these prime cuts over the next 45 seconds, madness >

Red Bull Metro Pipe
The contest was the brainchild of Sergio Layos, who worked with Red Bull to turn this busy Metro station into a unique BMX contest which played host to 15,000 spectators over the weekend. Red Bull's newest rider, Kriss Kyle, also managed to clinch 3rd place with his partner Jason Phelan. The station that is normally filled with screeching trains and scurrying commuters was filled with the more natural screeching of the enthusiastic crowd that cheered on the 10 participating pairs through an incredible show on the challenging BMX track. Spain's David ‘Naran’ Peñafiel and Czech Michael Beran pulled off the victory with outstanding technique and style with Naran scoring with a Backflip Superman and Beran superbly nailing a Flair Tailwhip and Wallride Tailwhip. Coming second were Spain's Perico and Alistair Whitton of the United States while Brits Kris Kyle and Jason Phelan took third. Click the image below to check out the video... Be sure to check out this article by Albion contributor George Marshall who documented how difficult it was to get to this spot and how cool it is that Red Bull were able to secure such an awesome place for a contest.
Four Videos Friday - BMX and Skate Treats from Lakai, BSD & Greg Illingworth
Pure adrenaline with this weeks FVF, we have a right treat in for you but before you get all excited I'd like to show you a cool new commercial by Lakai Shoes. Lakai are a skate shoe brand who've been making sneaks for at least 10 years (that I know of) and I've had a couple of pairs myself - I'd totally recommend them. Check out their new commercial for the Brandon Biebel 3 shoe available now! Now, adverts and trailers out the way it's time for the main events. As promised this week's round up is amazing, some of the best and most exciting riding I've seen in a while coming from some of my favorite companies and riders in BMX. First up is BSD Bikes' new trailer for their up and coming DVD "Any Which Way" which was premiered last night at the Simple Sessions in Estonia. Check out the trailer below and order your copy for FREE through any good BSD dealer. Next up from the guys behind PubBMX, Jason Phelan has put together this web edit and all I can say is it's ridiculous. The riding is amazing, featuring Jason, Kris Kyle and friends. Unit23 is the best indoor park in the UK and the music makes me want to go out and get on my bike.. which I may just do but not after you watch the last video. Eight months in the making and we are here. I heard about this video getting filmed a … Continue reading

Four Videos Friday - Epic BMX Films for Your Viewing Pleasure
I know, I know, im hugely sorry. I've been as busy as a bee the past two weeks working my main jobs which is photography and camera assisting in the world of TV and Film. Next week I'm working on my first 3D shoot for Sky TV, tis going to be interesting and challenging, can't blooming wait! But enough about my reasons for being slack and on with this week's FVF: Kicking it off this webisode is good friend Ben Basford who rides for Kink Bikes in the UK. Ben is s sick rider with amazing park and street skills an is always putting out good quality web edits. This edit however pushes the bar up another level, something I like to describe as "all killer, no filler". Ben and Archetype BMX have worked solid over the past four months getting the best clips for this edit, they've worked damn hard and it shows > The next video is short but sweet. Coming in at just over a minute long and filmed in the classic, but not used that often, black and white setting on the camera. I really like the simplicity of this edit. Chilled music, great riding and well thought out angles for the filming. Sean Ricany doing it for Group Home Bikes > In one of my previous blog posts, 'Four Videos Friday - Tea's on it's cold outside!' I'd reported about a feature Seventies Distribution had been working on. A web series called "Our House", now various … Continue reading

Four Videos Friday - Lisbon, Hill Chasing, Glowing People and Snow
I've seen some interesting videos this week and nothing is more different and interesting than this project called the "Glowing Man". There's not much information up about the reason behind it nor an explanation of how they did it. I've got my theories but let's hear yours in the comments, hope you enjoy: The next video is from WeThePeople rider Mike Curley who's just been on a trip to Lisbon with my favorite BMX filmer Will Evans (check out Will's Vimeo) with cameo appearance from another WTP rider Pete Sawyer. I'm sure whatever sport you're involved in, this video will be a reminder of just how close we are to summer time, time to take your holidays, get some traveling done with your friends and enjoy the hot, long summery days. It's so close I can almost taste it :P More two wheeled action now for people who prefer to ride up hills instead of walk up them with their bike. Red Bull's Hill Chasers 2012 just happened recently in Bristol. Charge Bikes were the main sponsor giving away some awesome gold, silver and bronze complete setups for prizes. The concept behind this is pretty simple, get up a hill and through those narrow gaps as soon as possible without falling off or having a heart attack. Check out the video: And finally to end this week's round up with some Skiing action. I don't really watch many ski videos and the last time I watched anything ski related was … Continue reading

Four Videos Friday - Skating, BMX, Epic Journey's and Vintage Ladies Bikes
It's Friday evening, you've had a long week at work, maybe's you can't be bothered to go out tonight. So instead you want to kick it back and watch a couple of the best videos from the week. Well you're in the right place. Starting this week's FVF, is a short skateboarding film by Nathan Factor Sacharow who's really made a great job at shooting the whole thing. Pieced together with the sounds provided from 'The Cinematic Orchestra' you can guarantee you'll find some awesome spots and skating going down in the next 5 minutes: Shane Weston, have you heard of him before? If not get sunk into this video with his smooth, innovative style of street riding. He does a lot of 'free-coaster' tricks in this video (fakie to you and I) and for me, has invented some things I've not even seen before. He rides for Fly Bikes and this is one of this latest web edits: Anyone who's into doing epic journeys, snowboarding and skiing and maybe even likes The North Face, may want to check this video out, it's been up two months but I've only just stumbled across it: And finally this guy is just plane amazing. From what I've heard he comes from some sort of Trials riding background, you can kind of tell by his style, but what he does on this vintage ladies bike is just awesome: Who said that I always post BMX stuff.. Till next week, have a good weekend.

Four Videos Friday - Tea's on it's cold outside!
It's Sunday I know but I only just got back from a week long break in the beautiful city of Barcelona, which co-incidentally has something to do with this week's post! BCN has always been a well known place for Skateboarding and BMX biking - you've only got to hit up a spot called the Macba any day of the week to see a swarm of people skating and riding the ledges and stairs dotted around that place. Another popular thing over there, which I didn't notice five years ago when I was last there, was how popular fixed gear bikes had become, there is a fixed gear shop every square kilometer! Well almost.. Anyways on with the weeks round up of amazing videos and I swear next week I'll try and watch a few non-cycling videos to put in there for good measure. First off Subrosa Bikes, Scott Ditchburn who has just put out his first Chain Reaction Cycles edit for the team. He's been plagued with injury over the past six months but has still put out an absolute banger of an edit: Next up Hoffman Bikes rider Ben Hennon has been busy with the guys from Seventies riding for their regular feature "Our House" which has already seen some sick edits from the DUBBMX team, Cult, Kink and Federal Bikes. Check out Ben's edit below and also take note that his new signature frame the "Lady Luck" is now available to buy from all good BMX stockists. Picking up … Continue reading

Four Videos Friday - BMX Bosses
This is something new I'd like to start here at Chasingair. It's a little feature where I'm going to basically hit you with my four favorite videos of the week. It's not always going to be only BMX but since that's what I'm involved with the most, it's definitely going to be somewhat biased. First off from one of my favorite UK riders, Ben Lewis who's just been hooked up by The Source down in Hastings, along with his current sponsors of FitBikeCo, Animal Bikes, Etnies, Quitin and DUBBMX. He's a pleasure to watch ride and this edit will chill you right out > Next up we have 20Twenty's Alex Donnachie from last year's released DVD 'ABD(n)', a little more raw than the previous video but he has some big moves Coming in, all the way from Israel, Derby local Matt Roe who rides for Mutiny Bikes. He traveled to Tel Avivv on a mission to find some new transitions to ride. Filmer and editor Rich Forne was behind the lens for this one > And finally the happiest guy I've ever met in BMX, even when he's falling off stuff, Jared Washington and new guy to the team Dominic Biro, both riders of Federal Bikes. They've put out this sweet edit to end our round up of FVF. Till next Friday, enjoy > External Ads... Save up to 50% off Cycling Gear + Free Shipping over $65 at IndieBike.com

Red Bull Supernatural: A freeze is coming!
To get the ball rolling i'm gonna tell you about the new Red Bull project called "Supernatural". Now before we start thinking about all things that go bump in the night, we need to clarify what this is about. Most people who snowboard out there have probably seen or, at least heard, of the Red Bull video "The Art of Flight" released at the end of summer last year - which was epic by the way! Well RB being the RB, they've gone and raised the bar again for a new TV series which is going to hit us Winter 2012. Imagine being able to create the most perfect setup but kind of naturally? Well naturally as in, when the snow fell it hadn't been modified...well watch this:
